In the summer of 2019, I decided to create a blog focused on video games and the industry. The websites name was 'Start-Select Video Games' (SSVG for short). I teamed up with a few ex QA testers and we all collaborated in creating content for the website.
I managed to attend a few game conferences such as EGX and the Guildford Games Festival. Whilst there I conducted interviews with a few people in the industry as well as capturing some footage for the up and coming video games.
I created and designed the website. With my background in Graphic Design and previous knowledge of HTML and CSS it was an easy process. I did however have to learn the basic tools and principals of SEO but it will be a useful asset in my future endeavours.
I also created the social media SSVG pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). I created video and imagery content which engaged the reader and helped us gain more followers on all platforms.
